Going through photos to add to the blog, I’m struck by the fact that my kiddos seem to always be wearing a version of the same thing. I know they have several drawers full of clothes, but I guess like anyone they have their favorites. Do your kids tend to wear the same things over and over again? Or, do they prefer to mix it up?
Both of my older boys would wear the same thing every.single.day if they could, but the washing machine sometimes doesn’t run often enough to make that happen. My middle has this thing for ripped knee pants. Sometimes, they more like just ‘shreds’ on a waistband, but he’ll still not want to throw them away. He is really, really hard on clothes. Especially pants. Hence, I only ever buy them at the thrift store. Preferably for $1.00 or less!
His ‘record’ though is worth mentioning. I purchased a pair of $1.00 pants while we were out of town thrift shopping. He put them on when we got home, and all of 15 minutes later he fell and ripped the knee open. Just the pants, not the kid’s knee. Small blessings I guess.
They do come by it honestly though. We shall speak of my love of ‘black and stretchy’ another time!
